The Work

The sequel trilogy of Star Wars caused a lot of division among fans, with some loving it and others hating it. However, we believe in embodying more of the Grey Jedi philosophy, taking what we enjoyed from the sequels and leaving behind what we didn’t. We also believe that the Skywalker bloodline is essential to the franchise, and the Skywalker Saga is the very fabric of the entire universe; it most definitely should continue on. Touted as the “end”, The Rise of Skywalker failed to deliver a satisfying conclusion to one of the most iconic stories ever told. Many fans were disappointed with how the character of Kylo Ren was handled, feeling that he had the most complete character arc of all the characters in the sequels, and his death seemed more of a copy of Darth Vader’s story than one of his own.  It felt unimagined, regurgitated, and uninteresting — a far better story would have been the story of atonement, not just redemption by sacrifice.

Despite the criticism, with the work we’re doing in After the Sequels™, we want to include the entire story presented in the sequels without erasing them from canon. We have faith that with the right writers, the right story, the right vision, the sequels’ shortcomings can set the stage for far better storytelling. We aim to blend the introduced characters with legacy characters and other characters from the Star Wars universe to create a respectful and loyal story. We want all fans to appreciate the work we’re doing and unite behind it to become a combined voice that Disney Lucasfilm simply cannot ignore, instead of a segregated one. We see Star Wars as more than just a set of movies but as pillars that hold together a trillion memories of our childhood and long to see the fandom connected again.

For the Love of George

Anyone that has read The Star Wars Archives: Episodes I-III 1999–2005 companion book for the prequel trilogy by Paul Duncan knows that George Lucas had a trilogy treatment for Episodes 7-9 that featured Darth Maul and Darth Talon as the main villains, set against a backdrop of the crime syndicates in the galaxy. Although some think that Disney executives discarded George’s ideas for the sequels, this is not entirely true. In fact, we did see Darth Maul return in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, which George worked on closely with Dave Filoni. And while Darth Talon may have been too risqué for cartoon TV — eventually replaced with Savage Opress — we did see elements of George’s trilogy treatment in the show. And that trilogy treatment was not the only one that George had written, it was just the one he talked about in Paul Duncan’s book.

There is no doubt that George is a highly respected storyteller, and his influence extends beyond Star Wars to other movies like Indiana Jones and many more. We want to honor George Lucas by continuing his story in the Skywalker Saga with careful planning and attention to detail, just like George would himself. We aim to create an entertainment experience that captures the essence of the Star Wars universe that he built. Because we, like many of you, love George and what he has given to all of us.

Thank you, George.

Production
Team

Meet our production team!

As a film and TV series production, we are focused on taking traditional tried and true filmmaking practices and applying them to the development of our fan films and content. Our team’s focus is balancing storytelling within the confines of a digital world using new and forward-thinking mediums to do it. We aim to create our films and TV episodes in various styles, such as motion graphic animation, live audio dramas, performed live comics, and much more.  Got an idea for something of your own? Contact us! We’ll bring it to life.

Art Team

Our amazing art team is the focal point of every single one of our films and TV shows.  The idea of showcasing a film made entirely from conceptual art was formed by watching The Mandalorian TV show and seeing all the stunning concept art that was displayed during the end credits.  It served as the inspiration for everything we do in this project.  Character artists, environmental artists, animators, visual editors, musical composers, sound designers, and more do incredible work behind the scenes that rarely ever gets shown.  It’s a travesty, we tell you! With After the Sequels™, we seek to right that wrong and these are the people that are helping us do just that. It is their work you see and hear.

Performance
Team

Meet our beloved cast!

Our actors all vary in age and background ranging from seasoned professional actors to those who are brand new to the field with this being their first project. These varying acting backgrounds will allow for mentorships to build as those with experience can take those with less under their acting wings. We are also heavily set on creating a sense of ownership for every single person within this team. It creates a sense of family among the cast.
