We get a lot of questions about our fan film project, especially because it is within such a well-known franchise like Star Wars.  We have compiled the most popular questions below so that our fans can quickly get answers to their most common questions.

If you have a question for us that isn’t featured below, please do not hesitate to click on CONTACT and submit those questions to us.  We will do our best to either answer them directly via email or if we see a similar pattern, add them to the FAQs below.

Answer:
NO. This is a fan-made film created by fans for fans, and it has no affiliation with Disney Lucasfilm. Our Executive Producer has over two decades of experience in filmmaking due to her involvement in the field of video games. As a result, she has an extensive list of contacts in the world of film, so she began to request assistance from individuals in the industry on her quest to continue the Skywalker Saga. The participation of the talent in this film stems from a deep love for the franchise, a sentiment shared by every single member of this nearly 50-person crew.

Answer:
YES. Each of the three films in our program will be between 2 and 2.5 hours in length.

Answer:
YES. Star Wars: The In Between is a series of shorts that will be around 15 minutes in length, give or take. The series will tell the story of the content gap that exists in between each of the movies.

Answer:
NO. Lucasfilm has very specific guidelines regarding the use of their intellectual property (IP) in fan films, making it one of the most accommodating companies towards fan filmmakers. In live-action fan films, only original characters may be used; existing characters are prohibited. Since we intend to continue the Skywalker Saga, and animation is the only medium where we can use existing characters, it is the best way to assure we adhere to these guidelines.

Answer:
NO. Episodes 10, 11, and 12 will be created using motion graphic animation. In addition to motion graphic animation and 2D/3D animation, the television series will also feature live comics, audio dramas, and audible-style novelizations.

Answer:
The United States Copyright Laws make it illegal to create content that is not rightfully yours; however, when George Lucas founded Lucasfilm, he was a major supporter of his fans. He inspired many to create content for both Star Wars and Indiana Jones, and he created space for those stories by establishing an entire division within Star Wars known as the “expanded universe” where all fans could freely play and imagine. He established a set of 82-page guidelines and principles for the use of his content. Disney has continued Lucasfilm’s commitment to fan films. We take considerable care to ensure that these guidelines are followed.

Answer:
