Since graduating from the prestigious Guildhall School of music and drama I’ve played a wealth of theatre, film, and TV roles. From working alongside the likes of Kenneth Brannagh and Sir David Jason to appearing in various guises on the London comedy circuit, sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe festival, and big-budget film and TV work such as Band of Brothers. I’ve also had my own mobile food business, completed a charity run of 130 miles over 5 days, and been the primary parent at home. More recently, apart from exploring my love of craft beer and baking a mean sourdough, I have developed VoiceOver career, reading audiobooks, kids cartoons and much more!
I’m playing EDMUND MAYFIELD which is a tremendous honour as it’s a totally new character created specially for this project. Edmund is a Captain of the first order and I love the fact that he’s a brit. Or at least that’s how I’m playing him! It sets him apart from the off, I’m looking forward to seeing how his character develops! Maria has been great and has encouraged input as he’s a new character.
Of course, the initial attraction was to be involved in a Star Wars project. It was a golden opportunity to play a new character in this world and even get a say in the trajectory of him and what happens to him going forward. I love voicing characters as there is something special about having to deliver your entire performance with just your voice. It’s quite liberating actually! It’s been a special project to work on as I still remember seeing the very first Star Wars films in the cinema as a kid!
