Working with AI in 2026: Thoughts from a Mid-Level Developer in the AI Era

When people talk about AI, many imagine futuristic robots or complex algorithms in big tech companies. But the reality in 2026 is much simpler: AI is already part of daily work for many normal professionals. I conducted a small survey with professionals from different fields including software developers, banking professionals, finance workers, researchers, students, and even healthcare workers.What surprised me was not that developers use AI. That was expected. What surprised me was how many non-technical professionals are already using AI for thinking, writing, and decision support.While writing this book, I also asked professionals from different industries how they are currently using AI in their daily work.The survey included software developers, banking professionals, finance workers, researchers, healthcare professionals, and students.
